About the society
A village of knowledge
Masjid Imdad in Lower Islam Kot, Abbottabad, was our first phase. Around it the society has grown into a place of prayer, study and welfare.
Islamic and secular learning sit side by side here. Children memorise the Qur'an and study the Islamic sciences, and they also follow a full school curriculum.
In August 2019 the foundation was dug by the blessed hands of Shaykh Mawlana Ghulam Nabi Shah Saheb (RA).

What happens at Masjid Imdad
Jummah prayer and sermon
The Friday prayer and sermon, every week.
Morning Dars-e-Quran
Daily Qur'anic lessons after Fajr, explaining verses and offering practical guidance for everyday life.
Weekly Islahi Majlis
A weekly spiritual gathering for self-reformation and character building. Fridays, discourse begins at 1:00 PM.
Hifdh and Nazra recitation circles
The daily Qur'an classes of the madrassah, held in the masjid throughout the day.
Ramadan programme
Taraweeh prayers each night and itikaf in the last ten days.
Our phases
Building Al Imdad, step by step
Four phases are serving the community today, the masjid is still rising, and the rest are planned: hostels, residential flats and apartments, a sports centre, a Banat Education Centre, Darul Ihsan (khanqah), a library and Darul Baqa (the cemetery).

The first phase of the institute. A three-floor Jami' Masjid, with the basement already complete and in daily use.

Traditional Islamic education for 160+ students, of whom more than 140 live at the madrassah.

Nine classes running in the school building, newly built over three floors.

The Dispensary
A dispensary staffed by a pharmacist, serving both the students of the institute and local residents.

Hostels
Hostel rooms of their own for the students, so every boarding student is properly housed.

Flats and apartments
Residential flats and apartments for members of staff and for the families of students, and for travelling families who come to stay.

Sports centre
A purpose built sports centre for the students, the staff and others of the community.

Banat centre
A centre for our banat (daughters), teaching religious and secular subjects along with personal development and life skills.

Darul Baqa
Complete. A cemetery serving the institute and the surrounding community.

Darul Ihsan
A place of spiritual training, dhikr and retreat alongside the masjid and madrassah.

Library
A reference library of Islamic and academic works for the students and teachers of the institute.
