Jami' Masjid Imdad

The first phase of the institute. A three-floor Jami' Masjid, with the basement already complete and in daily use.

Basic information

What it is

Masjid Imdad is the first phase of Al Imdad Education Welfare Society and the heart of everything that follows.

In August 2019 the institute was honoured by the presence of Shaykh Mawlana Syed Ghulam Nabi Shah Saheb (RA), who travelled from Mansehra at our request and graciously laid the foundation of the masjid with his own blessed hands.

He was joined that day by Qari Muhammad Yousaf Saheb (RA), Qari Muhammad Awais Saheb, Mawlana Habib ur Rahman Saheb and a gathering of other respected scholars, whose duas accompanied the very first stone of this masjid.

Since that blessed day the masjid has served as the centre for the five daily prayers, the Friday Jummah, the morning Dars-e-Quran and the weekly Islahi Majlis.

Our vision

What we are working towards

A complete three-floor Jami' Masjid able to gather between 1,500 and 2,000 worshippers. Spacious enough to cater for the whole of Lower Islam Kot and the growing community around the institute.

It is built to serve four groups at once: the students of the madrassah and the school, who pray here every day; the guests of the institute; the locals of Islam Kot; and travellers passing through, who should always find a clean place to pray, make wudu and rest.

The masjid sits at the centre of the campus, with the madrassah, school, hostels and other phases arranged around it, so that worship remains the centre of the whole project.
